Producer history
Jordi Rabell i Rigau (Sant Feliu de Guíxols, April 23, 1933) is a photographer and collector. At a young age, he took a liking to photography and started to take pictures with his friends using a Univex camera.
During his military service, he applied to join the Corps of Photography and Cartography Specialists and was assigned to the School of Photography and Cartography at Cuatro Vientos (Madrid). Once the training course was completed, he was assigned to the laboratory at the Son Sant Joan military airfield (Mallorca).
After military service he set up a photographic laboratory with his friend Jaume Cervera, in which he made photographs of tourists. Inspired by the heavy snowfall of 1962, he organized a photography competition. From this arose the idea of founding the Photographic and Cinematographic Association of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, established in 1963.
From the 1960s until 1970, he participated in different photography competitions, winning several first prizes, such as, for example, first prize in the Concurs de la Gran Nevada (1962) and first photography prize in the Concurs de Sardanistes (1962).
He has participated in various exhibitions in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
