Producer history
Julio Esteban Ascension (Palma de Mallorca, 1913 - Girona, 1977) was a Girona politician.
After completing his military career as an artillery captain, he held several positions during the Franco regime in the province of Girona. He was provincial deputy secretary for Economic Planning (1944-1951), provincial deputy responsible for works and infrastructure (1958-1967) and, notably, first delegate of the National Housing Institute in Girona (1956-1958) and then provincial delegate of the Ministry of Housing in Girona (1958-1977). He died at the age of 65 while still holding the latter position.
Through the National Sports Facilities Plan, he proposed for the area of Girona the creation of nine swimming pools, thirteen multi-sports courts, seven gymnasiums, sixteen tennis courts, five track-and-field facilities, a mountain refuge, an installation for rowing and two for shooting. Among the different territorial planning initiatives that he drafted as provincial delegate of the Ministry Housing was one that affected the ski resort La Molina a Alp (which gave it better access), the reorganization of Fontajau indoor arena and the construction of Montilivi stadium, in the city of Girona.
He was also a prominent beekeeper and published several books within the Sindicat Agrari de Girona (Agrarian Union of Girona). His son is the architect Juli Esteban Noguera.

On November 5, 2017, Albert Rossich contacted INSPAI to donate this album consisting of 109 images.
In 2018, restorer and photographer Jordi Mestre carried out the removal of fungi, spots and associated rubber and remounted the album with cardboard.
Details of entry
The fonds were donated by Albert Rossich Estragó, Catalan writer and philologist and professor of Catalan philology at the University of Girona. In 2017, Albert Rossich formalized the simple donation of a photo album via a form.
